INVITATION FOR APPLICATION: MA Solo/ Dance/ Authorship (MA SODA)

Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum Tanz Berlin – HZT (Co-operative Dance Education Centre Berlin) - a joint responsibility of the University of Arts Berlin (UdK) and the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst 'Ernst Busch' in cooperation with TanzRaumBerlin

Applications for Entry in April 2010*
The MA in Solo/ Dance/ Authorship (MA SODA) is a two year, full time practice-led Master of Arts degree. It focuses on the making, composition, critical understanding and dissemination of dance and body-based performance work within the wider field of contemporary arts and cultural practice. The course is conducted and assessed in English.

The MA SODA is offered as part of the educational programme of the Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum Tanz Berlin – HZT (Cooperative Dance Education Centre Centre Berlin) and is a continuation of the successful Pilot Project Tanzplan Berlin (until 31st of March 2010), supported by Tanzplan Deutschland, an initiative of the Kulturstiftung des Bundes.

Applications are invited from dancers, performers, artists and makers who have already established a motivated (but not necessarily professional) practice in the field of dance and performance, who wish to extend, develop and understand the forms, contexts and intellectual range of their work, and who wish to engage with the contexts, challenges and environments of contemporary arts practice.
