The National Resource Centre for Dance (NRCD) began an AHRC funded project in June entitled Pioneer Women : Early British Modern Dancers. The project relates to two important archive collections which document the contributions of Madge Atkinson and Ruby Ginner to early twentieth century dance.
A key part of the project is preserving and cataloguing the associated archives but we do also have quite a number of research outcomes and events. One of these is an academic symposium scheduled for 31st October 2009. See the attached Call for Papers.
